When you upload a file to the precass processor, you will not lose any of your original data. The process will create four new fields in your data file:
The confidence is based on the data provided in other fields based against our list of Zip Codes, Cities and States. The better the match, the higher the confidence that the data is valid.
PRECASS currently supports only the city, state and zip/post code fields for validation. When uploading a file there should be only 4 columns:
Once your file is uploaded, it is assigned a job code which will look like:
62tig6iz6v5s7tzzgnl
This job code will be part of a URL that you will be given to check on the status of the file. It will either be queued, processing, or complete. When the file is complete, it will also provide a download link.
Currently, we are testing the City/State/Zip (CSZ) validation routine of the PRECASS processing engine. We are working on incorporating the openaddresses.io dataset into the processor in order to validate most US street addresses.
